Our Inaugural Lineup

We’ve chosen three exceptional barrels of rum — two distilled in Trinidad and one in Jamaica. All three spent 4 to 5 years in ex-bourbon casks at their origin in tropical conditions before traversing across the Atlantic to gracefully age in the temperate continental climate of England. In 2023, the Great Shearwater team brought these barrels over to finish aging in the heart of Bourbon Country in Louisville, Kentucky.

Bottled in 2024 after a total of 13 years in the barrel for the Jamaican and 14 years for each of the Trinidad selections, we are proud to bring these totally unique expressions of rum to the market
